The vaccine "Vaxigrip tetra" (manufactured by Sanofi Pasteur, France) was purchased at the expense of the state budget. The vaccine contains inactivated strains of viruses that will circulate in the 2022-2023 epidemic season in Ukraine.

We remind you that it is very important to get vaccinated against the flu. This can be done not only at the beginning, but throughout the entire episeason. Because the risk of getting the flu and having serious complications is quite high, especially for people from risk groups.

In addition, the risk of simultaneous infection with influenza and COVID-19 is very high - the risk of mortality is 6 times higher in the case of a combination of these infections. Importantly, flu and COVID-19 vaccines can be administered on the same day.

It is important to remember that the flu vaccination does not protect against COVID-19 and vice versa. According to the latest recommendations of the National Technical Panel of Experts on Immunoprophylaxis on the combination of vaccines, vaccination against these diseases can be given on the same day or at a minimum interval.

There is no cure for the flu, only symptomatic treatment. That's why you need to get vaccinated every year, because flu strains change.
