Сarried out psychocorrective work with servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with signs

On 01.11.2022, the PD and PPV Center of the State Department "TMA of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Kirovohrad Region" planned and carried out psychocorrective work with servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with signs of PTSD.
Symptoms of PTSD:
- repeated, intrusive memories of events that include images, thoughts, or feelings;
- dreams about the experienced event, which are repeated and cause anxiety;
- feeling as if psycho-traumatic events are happening again;
- physiological reactivity under the influence of external or internal stimuli that symbolize any aspect of a traumatic event or remind of it;
- trying to avoid thoughts, feelings or conversations related to the trauma;
- partial or complete amnesia of important aspects of the trauma;
- loss of interest in previously significant activities;
- a feeling of isolation from others;
- inability to focus on a long-term life perspective;
- difficulty falling asleep and sleep duration disorders
- irritability and outbursts of anger;
- difficulty concentrating;
- unmotivated vigilance;
- increased fear reaction;
Additional symptoms of PTSD:
- impulsiveness;
- irritability;
- alcohol or drug abuse;
- antisocial behavior or illegal actions;
- depression;
- Suicidal thoughts and suicide attempts;
- high level of mental instability;
- somatic complaints.

The work was carried out on the basis of diagnostic testing for the presence of PTSD using the following methods:
Muscle relaxation. (Myorelaxation according to Jacobson).
1.    Palms: hands on the table (tighten your fists as much as possible - as if squeezing water from an icicle)
2.    Shoulders (reach your shoulders to your ears)
3.    Chest - back (try to cross the shoulder blades)
4.    Feet (reach your toes to the middle of the shin)
5. Calf - thigh: toes are fixed, heels rise
6. The upper third of the face will frown (make a surprised look)
7.    Middle third of the face: add slanted eyes to the wrinkled forehead
8.    The lower third of the face: "Pinocchio" (move the corners of the mouth to the ears), "Kiss".

The best medicine for stress is rest and a full life.
1.    Physical rest.
2.    Pleasant music, favorite things, hobbies, visualization of pleasant images.
3.    Communication with friends based on interests.
4.    Physical exercises, massage.
5.    Warm drinks, warm bath.
6.   Breathing exercises and aromatherapy.
7.    Walks in the fresh air.
8.   Self-training and meditation.
