Since the beginning of the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, there have been changes in the regulatory and legal acts regarding the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities and provision of technical and other means of rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, children with disabilities and other separate categories of the population. In particular, paragraph 7 of Article 4 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities in Ukraine" has been added, according to which the Law applies to persons who, during the period of martial law in Ukraine or some of its localities during service, work and other activities, living in in the relevant territory were injured, contused, maimed or diseased as a result of the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, being directly in the areas of military (combat) operations and during the military (combat) operations or in areas subject to bombing, airstrikes and other armed attacks , in terms of providing them with auxiliary means of rehabilitation, medical products, rehabilitation services based on the conclusions of medical advisory commissions of health care institutions or decisions of military medical commissions, regardless of whether they are disabled, including abroad, in accordance with the procedure and conditions, determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Social Policy together with the Fund for Social Protection of the Disabled issued a Memorandum on the provision of auxiliary means of rehabilitation. (REMINDER)
In Ukraine, there is a network of enterprises that develop and manufacture prostheses and other means of auxiliary rehabilitation using the latest technologies. Providing categories of people with products of Ukrainian production creates an advantage in maintenance and their replacement.
A citizen has the right to choose a prosthetic company himself.
