According to WHO recommendations, refusal to perform routine vaccination or even interruption of immunization for a short period of time (routine - in accordance with the national vaccination calendar) will lead to an increase in the likelihood of outbreaks of vaccine-preventable infections or an increase in cases of vaccine-preventable diseases. This will be an additional burden on Ukraine's health care system, which is already overburdened by the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the Decree of Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated 22.04.02020 "On organization of immunization activities in the conditions of pandemic coronavirus infection (COVID-19)" in order to counteract the spread of infectious diseases that can be prevented by immunoprophylaxis in conditions of pandemic coronavirus infection (COVID-19), it is necessary to continue the planned vaccinations against tetanus, diphtheria and measles according to the approved schedule.

Vaccination is recommended among persons at risk of seasonal influenza in the preepidemic period for influenza.

Scheduled vaccination of people with signs of acute respiratory infections is not carried out until recovery.

Vaccination of people who were on self-isolation through COVID-19 and contacts can be carried out after the end of the period of self-isolation if there are no symptoms of respiratory infection.

As noted by experts, people who have had a laboratory-confirmed case of COVID-19 can be vaccinated after recovery (as defined).

The hospital (with polyclinic) of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kirovograd region has all conditions for routine immunization in compliance with sanitary standards. The hospital is provided with sufficient immunobiological preparations for vaccinations against diphtheria, tetanus and measles.
