Today the whole world is fighting a new challenge - the pandemic of a new coronavirus COVID-19, which has spread to all continents and countries, including our Ukraine. Health workers are doing everything possible to save people from this disease, sometimes risking their lives and health. Medical workers of the hospital (with polyclinic) of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kirovograd region actively work to provide medical assistance to COVID-19 patients from among police officers, soldiers, employees and their families. From the beginning of the epidemic, 7 people (confirmed by PCR testing) among those eligible for medical care in the CMI in Kirovograd region have fallen ill and are currently receiving outpatient and inpatient medical care.

As of today, the first person with COVID-19 has been treated in TMA. He is a 23-year-old officer of the Directorate for National Security in the region. Repeated 2-fold PCR-testing confirmed that the patient had no signs of coronavirus infection. Today the policeman started to perform his official duties. The head of the State Department of "TMA of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kirovograd region". Alexander Nestroyny noted that due to the concerted actions of medical workers of all departments of the institution certain positive results were achieved.

The work on the provision of medical care to patients with suspected COVID-19 continues. As on 29.04.2020 the laboratory diagnosis was carried out: tests by quick tests - 198 tests, PCR-testing - 64.

Employees with signs of illness, deterioration of health (cough, fever, weakness, shortness of breath, headache) should apply to the district therapist of the hospital (with polyclinic) of GU "TMA MVD of Ukraine in Kirovograd region" for consultation about COVID-19.
