All symptoms in those who became ill appeared between December 8, 2019 and January 18, 2020. The source of infection was rather an animal.

Such measures have been introduced at Boryspil airport since January 21. Ukraine has no direct flights to Wuhan, the city from which the infection spread, while the risk of bringing a new coronavirus to European countries is assessed as medium.

The Ministry of Health reminds of the basic preventive measures that must be followed when visiting countries where cases of nCoV have been reported:

Avoid close contact with people with symptoms of acute respiratory infection;
wash your hands more often with soap and water, especially after direct contact with sick people or their surroundings;
avoid close contact with animals on farms or in the wild;
people with symptoms of acute respiratory infection should follow rules of conduct during coughing and sneezing (don't get too close to interlocutors, cover your mouth and nose with disposable tissues, wash your hands more often, and limit contact with other people as much as possible).
Based on the available evidence and information, the WHO has developed a list of recommendations: When visiting pet markets or markets with products of animal origin, the following rules should be observed:

Avoid contact with sick animals or tainted animal products;
Wash hands with soap and water after touching animals or animal products;
Avoid all contact with stray animals that may be living in the zoo;
DO NOT touch your eyes, nose or mouth with dirty hands
Avoid contact with potentially contaminated (contaminated) animal residues or liquids on the ground or private objects in the store or zoo;
Avoid eating raw or undercooked animal products. Properly heat treated raw meat, meat by-products, and milk and follow proper food preparation practices.
Symptoms of the new coronavirus (nCoV) are typical, as with colds and flu-like illnesses: sudden rise in body temperature over 38ºC, sore throat, headache, cough, difficulty in breathing, muscle pain, sometimes vomiting, diarrhea . There are no specific drugs for coronavirus. Treatment is symptomatic - help the body to cope with itself by engaging its immune system, protect itself and recover.

Everyone who has recently visited China, or had contact with people from regions where there are cases of infection, at the first symptoms (cough, headache, fever) should immediately contact a doctor at the hospital (with outpatient clinic) GU "TMI MVD of Ukraine in Kirovograd region," at: Volkova Street, 3 Kropivnitsky, phone 55-70-66 (registrar). Be sure to report that you have been in areas affected by the virus, or had contact with likely carriers. The period of medical observation for contact persons is 14 days.

Do not treat yourself! Remember, your health is in your hands!
