Every year in November, the World Antibiotic Stewardship Week is held. Its goal is to raise public awareness around the world about the problem of antimicrobial resistance in order to prevent its further development and spread.
On November 9, specialists of the Infection Control Department together with the hospital staff (including the outpatient clinic) held an event dedicated to World Antibiotic Awareness Week.
They discussed a rational approach to prescribing antibiotics based on determining the sensitivity of microorganisms to them, problems and trends in the development of antibiotic resistance of bacterial infections, and focused on the results of antibiotic use in accordance with the changes to the Standard of Care "Rational Use of Antibacterial and Antifungal Drugs for Therapeutic and Prophylactic Purposes", the results of the implementation of antimicrobial administration in the hospital and issues of determining the sensitivity of
