A gratitude diary, or how to change your life yourself?

Today, in the conditions of martial law, increased tension and increased work volumes, medical workers, policemen, and military personnel are representatives of one of the most vulnerable categories of the population and risky professions. This cannot but be reflected in the mood, emotional background, self-esteem and self-confidence, worldview, etc. Often it seems to all of us that the situation is out of control and we live every day in such a way that we do not know if there will be a tomorrow. If you look at the future through the lens of pessimism, are constantly in despair and depression, sincerely believe that nothing good can happen to you or other people in this life, a gratitude journal is exactly what you need! It will not only help you develop the habit of giving thanks, but also make this useful skill a part of your daily life. The point is that thanks to her we learn to appreciate what we have at the moment. And when we know how to appreciate what we already have, then everything good in our life begins to grow and grow in geometric progression.

By keeping a diary, we consciously take control of our own life - this is one of the main conditions, the observance of which will help you turn from an ordinary person into a successful, happy, self-sufficient and spiritually developed person! Keeping a gratitude diary can rightfully be called one of the most popular and effective ways to solve many problematic life situations, because the universal language of happiness is gratitude.

A gratitude diary is a type of personal diary, the essence of which is that a person records in it everything for which he feels grateful. A gratitude diary is one of the effective psychological tools that can be used to change your outlook, improve your mood, and increase your self-esteem.

Several mandatory items that patients fill in every day before solving a problem situation (the form of the diary can be changed depending on the context of the problem):

  • What is my problem?
  • What knowledge, skills, abilities do I have to overcome it?
  • What am I missing to solve the problem?
  • My thanks for what I have formulated and am aware of: the problem, the available knowledge, skills and abilities, I am in search of a solution to it...

A gratitude diary gives you the opportunity to look at the problem from different angles and tune in to conscious gratitude, which helps change life for the better. The more reasons for gratitude we try to find, the easier it becomes for us to find them.
