Quarantine measures in the TMA

Pursuant to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of March 11, 2020, No. 211 "On prevention of spread of COV1D-19 virus in Ukraine", the letter of the State institution "Kirovograd Regional Laboratory Center of the MH of Ukraine" of March 13, 2020, No. 846 / 2 "On introduction of quarantine measures in 303" and Instruction of the Department of Health and Rehabilitation of the MH of Ukraine of March 16, 2020, No. 24 / 33 the hospital (with polyclinic) of the Kirovograd region is temporarily changed in operation mode.

Quarantine measures are introduced in the polyclinic and in-patient department from March 13, 2020, until a special order:

1.Mandatory measurement of body temperature with a remote thermometer to all visitors to the hospital without exception.

2.The hospital (with a polyclinic) is mandatory for all to wear personal protective equipment (medical masks or respirators).

3.Admission of patients with signs of acute respiratory viral infections carried out in a separate room on the first floor of the clinic (¹ 108).

4.Preventive, preliminary and periodic medical examinations are stopped at the same time.

5. Planned hospitalization of patients with chronic diseases is limited to the maximum.

6. Unnecessary inpatient visits to patients are prohibited.

7.Medical care for patients with fever is provided primarily at home.

To reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection, a "self-isolation" algorithm is put in place for people arriving from countries with coronavirus-associated disease (see the "self-isolation leaflet").

Memo on self-isolation

 What does "self-isolation" mean?

Self-isolation is primarily refraining from contact with others in order to reduce the risk of infection. Self-isolation excludes any situation where you are in close contact with others (e.g. close face-to-face contact of less than 2 meters or lasting more than 15 minutes).

The only exception is to seek medical help (only after a telephone consultation).

If you are not sure if you need self-isolation or do not know who to contact, please call the Government Hotline: 1545.

 Who needs self-isolation?

Self-isolation is needed primarily if:

- You are waiting for the results of a test for the new coronavirus COVID-19.

- If you have had close contact with people who have been infected with COVID-19.

- If you have recently returned from Hubei Province of the People's Republic of China, Iran, North Korea, parts of Italy (Lombardy, Piedmont and Veneto), Egypt, Spain, France or other countries reported on the Ministry of Health website - even if you have no symptoms.

- If you have recently returned from China (except Hubei Province), Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and feel cough, difficulty breathing and/or fever.

How long does self-isolation last?

If you have been advised or decided to self-isolate, it should last at least 14 days from the date of the event that caused the self-isolation (travel, contact with a sick person, etc.).

How to prepare for self-isolation?

Try to plan your self-isolation time so that you do not have to leave the house or receive visitors and guests. Explain this to your friends and family, and discuss the possibility of working remotely with your employer. Keep your doctor's contacts, and inform them in advance of your decision to self-isolate, and choose a contact person from among your friends or family to whom you will go first for help.

What to do if you do not live alone.

If you live with family or neighbors, you need to isolate yourself in a separate room, a well-ventilated room. If it is possible to use a separate bathroom and/or toilet, as well as to cook and eat separately, do so.

Do not forget about general hygiene, regular hand washing with soap and water, cleaning, including wet cleaning of surfaces, cough hygiene use disposable wipes and tissues. Always wear a medical mask during necessary human contact and discard it after use or contamination.

If you have pets, isolate yourself from them as well, or at least try to contact them as much as possible.

How do you arrange for food deliveries?

Try to minimize trips to stores. If possible, ask friends or relatives to deliver food and necessary purchases to your front door, or use remote delivery services.

What should you do if you need to leave your home?

If you have an urgent need to leave the place of self-isolation - wear a mask and try to contact people. Use hand sanitizer and practice cough hygiene.

What to do if you have symptoms?

If you experience symptoms during self-isolation (cough, poor breathing, fever, diarrhea), immediately call for medical help and inform about the disease. travel history and possible contact with persons suffering from acute viral diseases.
