This date was not chosen by chance, because on this day in 1882, Robert Koch announced the discovery of the bacterium that causes the disease. The white daisy flower was chosen as the emblem, symbolizing the healthy and clean breath of our lungs. The celebration of this day in Ukraine every year on March 24 was established by the Decree of the President of Ukraine of 22.03.2002 No. 290 "All-Ukrainian Day Against Tuberculosis".

Specialists of the infection control department together with the hospital staff (including the outpatient clinic) joined in raising awareness of tuberculosis among visitors and patients and drew attention to preventing the threat of infection and reducing the spread of the disease.

Do not ignore, but urgently consult a doctor if you detect symptoms of tuberculosis, which include

cough for more than 2 weeks
fever for more than 7 days
difficulty breathing;
chest pain;
poor appetite, unexplained weight loss;
constant weakness;
excessive sweating, especially at night;
hemoptysis.
