From 05.09.2023 to 07.12.2023, a specialist of the Infection Control Department completed training organized by the World Health Organization in Ukraine together with the National Expert Group on Infection Control and acquired the necessary skills to work on the prevention of infections associated with the provision of medical care in health care facilities.

Learning objectives:

• development and implementation of comprehensive measures for the prevention and epidemiological surveillance of infectious diseases associated with the provision of medical care;
• development of an action plan for the prevention of infection and measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in case of detection;
• rational use of personal protective equipment;
• management of reusable medical instruments and medical waste;
• medical cleaning;
• prevention of antimicrobial resistance and specific diseases.

By providing high-quality medical services to patients in the hospital (with an outpatient clinic), the institution ensures compliance with safety measures to prevent infection with infectious diseases and antimicrobial-resistant microorganisms. We continue to implement timely treatment safety measures based on approved evidence-based medicine in accordance with national and international recommendations for compliance with infection control guidelines, which allows us to provide safe medical care to all patients.
