Computer-assisted spinal traction is a type of dry traction (traction) performed on an automated traction table.
The advantage of this treatment method is that the entire traction process (force, mode, increase and decrease of the load) is controlled by a computer. Such precise control allows avoiding overstretching and overloading of the spine due to a smoother and gentler action, creating conditions for decompression.
The optimal number of sessions is 5-10, performed 2-3 times a week, lasting 20-30 minutes. Maximum results can be obtained by combining traction with other physiotherapy methods.
Indications:
degenerative and dystrophic diseases of the spine (osteochondrosis, spondyloarthrosis, spondylosis, dorsopathies)
herniated and protruding intervertebral discs with and without radicular symptoms after the end of the acute period;
headaches of cervicogenic origin;
tension and discomfort in the neck, lower back;
muscle pain near the spine.
Contraindications:
herniated intervertebral discs with progressive symptoms and in the acute period, sequestered hernias;
vertebral instability or hypermobility;
osteoporosis;
pregnancy;
infectious lesions and neoplasms of the spine.
