World Hepatitis Day

Since 2008, World Hepatitis Day has been held annually on July 28, with the aim of raising awareness among the world public about the symptoms, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of hepatitis, especially groups B and C.

The most common manifestations of hepatitis:

asthenovegetative syndrome (pronounced general weakness, rapid fatigue, irritability, apathy);
dyspeptic syndrome (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain);
change in the color of urine (darkening) and discoloration of feces;
yellowing of the skin, mucous membranes and sclera;
increase in body temperature.
Expanding access to testing for viral hepatitis B and C makes it possible to identify patients and, if necessary, start treatment in time. Determining the level of ALT, AST, serological screening for antibodies and RNA/DNA of hepatitis viruses, the stage of liver damage is of key importance for the prognosis of the development of the disease and decision-making regarding the treatment strategy, assessment of its effectiveness.

The following means of prevention are recommended:

avoid contact with other people's blood and body fluids;
avoid casual sexual contact;
not to share personal razors or toothbrushes, manicure scissors and other means of individual use;
use only sterile tools for piercing and tattooing;
hand hygiene - washing hands before eating and after each visit to the toilet.
Contact the polyclinic of the "TMO of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Kirovohrad region", where you will be consulted by a therapist and an infectious disease doctor. They will appoint a full-fledged examination and carry out qualifying treatment.
