The hand hygiene coordinator and instructor of the infection control department conducted practical training for the nurses of the "TMO of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Kirovohrad region" on the topic "Hand hygiene, hygienic treatment of hands" in order to work out the algorithms of hand hygiene rules and practices in accordance with the requirements for compliance with the implementation instructions improvement of hand hygiene in healthcare facilities.

An assessment of the staff's knowledge after training and an assessment of the quality of hygienic hand treatment with the use of a UV box was carried out.

The practice of hygienic treatment of the hands of a healthcare worker is to prevent the transmission of infectious agents and effectively reduce the number of disease-causing bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics.
