In accordance with the requirements of the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine dated 15.09.2022 No. 584, an infectious disease control department was established in the institution.

The main task of the department is infectious safety in the institution in order to organize, improve, provide and ensure safe medical care and prevent the spread of infectious diseases.

Specialists of the department of infection control conducted a first-order systemic self-assessment of infection prevention and infection control, based on the results of which action plans were developed and approved with:

• prevention of infections and infection control;
• implementation of improved hand hygiene.

To implement the indicators of the action plan, the following have been developed:

• annual education and training plan for infection prevention and infection control of the institution's employees;
• action plan for the administration of antimicrobial drugs;
• standard operating procedures for the administration of AMPs and for the prevention of infectious diseases associated with the provision of medical care.
